How many think its a zealous nutcase?

Recent headlines have featured the case of a 29 year old woman who was forcibly kidnapped at age 11 and kept prisoner by a demented zealolt who is now also a suspect in several rapes and murders.

How many think a demented creep such as this is our quarry for the Jonbenet Ramsey case?
"paroled sex offender", "long known as an odd and sometimes frightening character".

I have no idea whatsoever just where this demented creep was in December of 1996, but I wonder how many of us would-be sleuths are dubious. Does the tone and tenor of the ransom note in the Jonbenet case make us reject a religious nutcase fond of ardent sermons? The note may be rambling and oddly reminiscent of some sort of faux James Bond-ish material but it is surely devoid of any sermonizing. Wouldn't a religious zealot in crafting a note that was sure to have widespread notoriety have wanted to include his demented ravings?

How many would-be sleuths have been according the unknown perpetrator in the Jonbenet Ramsey case a certain degree of intelligence that sets him well above the level of a nutcase who would come to the attention of the police during some sidewalk sermon? Is our ransom-note writer viewed by us as urbane, witty and charming? Or does he more fit the "demented creep" mode of interaction? What do we think of in our nocturnal musings when we try to visualize our suspect? Do we attribute too much intelligence to him when his notoriety is more due to BPD bumbling than to his own acts?
