Denver Post's Chris Lopez moves on to Texas

Colorado native to take helm at El Paso Times

Chris Lopez, a 25-year veteran of daily newspapers who has held various leadership roles throughout his career and spearheaded coverage of some of the biggest news stories in the country, has been named editor of the El Paso Times.


He directed The Denver Post's coverage of two of the most notorious murders in the Rocky Mountain region, the murder of JonBenet Ramsey in Boulder, Colo., and the murder of Matthew Shepard in Laramie, Wyo.
