memo
It has been a whirlwind the past few weeks, all good things. .
Not so good was the news of the passing of Dominick Dunne. One of the later aricles from Dunne, a victim of violent crime in the loss of his daughter, about the self-admitted pedophile that tried to fool the world by claiming he killed JonBenet was covered by Michael Roberts over at Westward.
In the meantime the story of Jaycee Dugard has been a front runner in the news, the little girl kidnapped and held hostage for 18 years by convicted sex offender Phillip Garrido and his possibly brainwashed wife. Heartwarming to read this young woman, Jaycee, and her children and family so blessed in their reunion. This morning in an article titled 'The People Vs. Child Molesters', Scott Simon over at NPR raising more questions after this sad-turned-happy story--
Nope, I wouldn't like Garrido next door and with this story's release, JonBenet case followers have speculated if Garrido could be at all like the person that murdered JonBenet. The rambling ransom note too could be seen as similar to Garrido's rambling missives. I don't have a clear feeling one way or another about any of that, but there is certainly room for several commonalities between Garrido and JonBenet's killer(s)."...There are a little more than half a million names on sex offenders' registries in the United States. Not all cases are the same; few can be as ugly as Phillip Garrido's. But his raises an excruciating question. Sex offenders may serve their time in prison. But are they ever truly rehabilitated?
To put it in the most personal terms, which is what this story demands: would you trust a paroled sex offender to live next door to you? And your children?..."
This Garrido character and his writing style, apparently known in his neighborhood as Creepy Phil, actually reminds me more of that self-promoting pedophile that is still peddling an association of his unsophisticated and driveling existence with the fame of the Ramsey murder. Creepy Karr. Now there ar

No matter how loudly Karr stomps his mary-janes, it is clear to the entire world some other monster did to JonBenet what Karr covets and can never have. Ever.
Karr keeps overlooking that memo.
Those still interested (fascinated? brainwashed?) by Karr's shennanigans have started a new blog, apparently another attempt to keep his self-importance and laughable aura of mystery alive. This time a terribly transparent use of technology effort, now trying to force notoriety for attention-deprived Karr that started back in 2006 with an unwelcome, uninvited alignment made by Karr to another story of international fame, Michael Jackson.
An excerpt from Karr's new blog--
"John Mark Karr Lashes Out on Behalf of Michael Jackson...Your thanks for the many years he entertained you was to harass him; to make fun of him; to accuse him and to drag him into courtrooms to face charges that you could not prove," Karr stated..."
The Jackson family is so far removed from the likes of someone like Karr, the last thing they need or want is the careless and selfish distraction in Karr's attempt to align his name with their deceased loved one in the same way John Ramsey had to. Karr might have a clue he would better off trying to buddy-up to his someone his own speed and style, like Garrido. But, really, what other options or protections do the wealthy or famous have other than to just ignore an over-the-top-obsessive and obnoxious fan?
I am certain there is nothing much anyone might want to hear from Karr, apparently either too delusional or cowardly and manipulative to face or help himself. Others much wiser, that have the reach and power Karr desires but never had nor will ever be able to attain, have completely divested Karr of any (imagined) control. Karr and company haven't read that memo either.
