Just when The JonBenet break up, some new band steps up to take their place drawing attention using JonBenet Ramsey's name....or for whatever Lady Gaga, death-metal, noise-rock reason a six year old's brutal murder is apparently so attractive to them.

When children go missing, or are viciously murdered, a standard in media relations during an investigation is to broadcast tender details about the child and family for several reasons. There are flyers with the child's picture. Rewards offered by law enforcement. John Walsh steps in with a plea. You know the drill all the way up to Nancy Grace coverage.

But for her parent's initiation, JonBenet's case was never given this chance. While law enforcement was busy pointing fingers, network media was too busy pushing out videos of child beauty pageants and stimulating public repulsion to that phenomenon, and her parents. I have for sometime questioned if there was some group think kind of influencer adding to the reason someone has not come forward with credible information about the killer, or second-hand knowledge of the crime. Is it because there is some kind of twisted perception JonBenet deserved to be tortured, raped and murdered? Is the crime unsolved the Ramsey's recompense for being upper middle class Republicans that allowed their daughter to participate in pageants? Bungled investigation aside, whatever perverted reasoning someone might use to justify the brutal crime, or for intentionally holding back critical information all this time, I just don't know. I do know the case has that flavor to me, there seems to be faint ring of truth there somewhere.

I have long assumed I would never find any understanding in the meaning of death-metal, and I still don't. But perhaps I am not so far off base in speculation that whoever did this believes they are fully indemnified for this crime. The underlying message from the media madness, public outrage and ridicule may still be very misunderstood by the perpetrator and his confidants, as if JonBenet had it coming--
