Everybody is happy in Boulder now. The embarassment of the bungled investigation of JonBenet Ramsey's vicious and still to be solved murder is fading to a memory; the recent Gallup poll and Westward's Patricia Calhoun says it is so - -

"The panhandler outside looked happy. The hostess inside looked happy. The server looked happy. And we were happy...when the results of the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index were released, putting Boulder right at the very top of every city in the country for overall well-being.

..."Do you think you could be happy in a place where everyone's so happy?" I asked my niece. "I thought part of the college experience was being miserable."

We were mulling that over when I, the helpful tour guide, pointed out one of Boulder's municipal buildings, glinting in the sun. "You probably saw that a lot during all the coverage of JonBenét Ramsey," I said.

"JonBenét who?" she responded.
