Ever the classic Bonpoint style is not likely a costume choice for JonBenet on stage in the glam-o-rama of pageant lights. I have never payed attention to JonBenet's photos to see if that recognizable brand or any other was part of her real-life wardrobe but it seems like a choice her mom might have made. With the mention in an article today in the NYT fashion section, makes me wonder if people think JonBenet was always 'on', dressed and made up 24/7/365 as a pageant particiant--


Dresses Are So Cute at That Age

"IT has been 15 years since Carolyne Roehm walked away from fashion, after her marriage to the financier Henry Kravis ended and her home in Sharon, Conn., burned to the ground in a fire that claimed not only her archives but also a small collection of Bonpoint children’s dresses she had accumulated with the thought of someday designing her own.



She has since rebuilt her home. And the desire to create little-darling dresses remained, so when Ms. Roehm was approached by Best & Company, the 130-year-old maker of fine togs for tots, she readily signed on to design a capsule collection that will be introduced at Bergdorf Goodman on Friday and at Best & Company’s store in Greenwich, Conn., on Saturday.


Ms. Roehm designed her dresses with the idea that they could be passed down over generations, using grown-up fabrics like cotton piqué. The blue and white gingham numbers, with white rickrack trim or daisy embroideries, cost $375 to $675.

“I don’t want an 8-year-old to look like a baby Britney Spears, or that poor little girl who was killed,” said Ms. Roehm, still thinking of JonBenet Ramsey ...'
