"She was accused of the unthinkable--killing her own 6-year-old daughter. In one of the most media-covered murder cases of all time, JonBenet Ramsey was reported missing then later found dead in her Boulder, CO home. Almost immediately, her mother Patsy came under suspicion, with accusations coming from local police, news media, and even the state's governor. Patsy, however, maintained her innocence until the day of her death by cancer 10 years later. Two years after her death, Patsy was officially cleared in JonBenet's death by the District Attorney, although no suspect had been identified at that time. DNA evidence determined that no family member was responsible. Imagine what that would have been like to be so falsely accused for so many years..."
