Followed by the usual rants and wagging fingers that erroneously jump to associate JonBenet Ramsey's murder with beauty pageants, over at his Twitter account aplusk , Ashton Kutcher tweaks out a little over a blog post illustrating some pretty extreme kiddie pageant pictures. Can't say as I blame him or anyone else for thinking this pageant stuff is on the fringe.

The unproven association between JonBenet's murder and pageants has been speculated for the same 12 years the case has been unsolved. And during this time and beforehand it is hard to find a single award winning pre-teen pageant participant that has been stalked, tortured, molested and killed by some demented and perverted stranger as JonBenet was. (As a heads up, there is a story about to break on a major media outlet about children being sold on the internet. Once it's out and if images of the children are published one won't find any made-up costumed pageant types - you may find images of your own child.)

In the meantime since JonBenet's murder, hundreds of thousands of children have been beaten, molested, starved, medically neglected, sold into slavery or murdered. There are little ones have committed suicide in reaction to bullying and harassment. I wonder if the little girls spotlighted in the UnCoached blog feel a little embarrassed or even perhaps harassed by the attention and subsequent negative readers comments?

Then there are accidental deaths from adults allowing children to do this, this and this.

It's easy to get all righteous and worked up about the oddities of child pageants, maybe much easier than thinking about or understanding the need for resources for real and documented dangers children face everyday.

So loving of these mothers to take away a childhood. Does no one remember JonBenet Ramsey. SHE never had a childhood either.
