theoretic implosion


Partly due this blog but mostly from other relationships, I've been exposed to many of the theories and conclusions about JonBenet's murder from those interested in, close to or actually hands-on working JonBenet's case. Beyond what the evidence and multiple instances of foreign DNA left at the crime scene screams so loudly, with a few exceptions I am not exceptionally drawn to a particular brand of speculation. With the best of intentions but sadly enough, many theorists and even so called subject matter experts may not be aware that their theory is not unique, nor perfectly unique to the crime. From Rubacher's poorly resourced publication to that classroom pedophile that tried to pass off his erotic fantasies as fact back in 2006 and every who-done-it notion in between, there is not one notion out there there that hasn't been confessed, broadcast, documented or opined previously. And many times the unoriginal content of a pa$$ionate theory simply serves the purpose of disproving itself - -

Only thing more appalling than JonBenet’s death is the title and cover of this book. Rubacher jumps in on the sensationalism bandwagon and tries to make a quick buck by presenting “factual evidence” in order to backup his claims that the Ramseys murdered their daughter. Now, I still don’t know if the Ramseys did it or not, but if one thing is for certain, it’s that this book sure isn’t going to convince me of that. Rubacher presents several ideas as “fact” that have been debunked by others, including the Boulder Sheriff’s department. It is hard to take him seriously..."[read more]
